The bus accident took place in Etawah district. While going from Lucknow to Agra, the sleeper bus collided with the divider and overturned after the driver dozed off. Nine passengers on the bus were injured in the accident. All have been sent to Saifai Medical College. 12 passengers have received minor injuries in the accident.

A sleeper bus going from Lucknow to Agra overturned after colliding with the divider on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway of Usrahar police station area at around 6.30 am on Sunday. About 65 passengers were present in the bus. After the incident, there was hue and cry on the spot. As soon as the information was received, UPDA Expressway post Kudrail and Usrahar police station reached the spot. The passengers trapped in the bus were taken out and the injured were sent to Saifai Medical College. Along with giving first aid to about 12 people and sent them in another vehicle.

Seriously injured Jagat Das, Munni Devi wife Manmohan Singh, Amit Kumar resident Hanuman Nagar police station Sivar Bihar, Manoj Mandal resident Marthol Darbhanga Bihar, Baijanti Devi wife Umesh Pratap, Awadhesh Kumar, Ashu resident Kamariya Khurd district Chhapra Bihar, Vipin Kumar resident Samastipur Bihar, Nitesh Kumar resident of Tarlagi police station Bishunpur Darbhanga Bihar got injured. Traffic on the expressway was disrupted for two hours after the accident. The bus was removed from the crane machine and made to stand in the Chopla yard. Police station officer Usrahar Gangadas Gautam said that the bus overturned after hitting the divider when the driver fell asleep. In which nine people were injured.
